Dunnellon — Today, Rep. Dennis Baxley, Speaker Pro Tem of the Florida House and Candidate for Senate District 3, accepted the endorsement of the National Rifle Association in the race for State Senate District 3.

"It is a great honor to accept the NRA's endorsement," said Baxley. "We have worked together over the years to guarantee the rights of sportsmen and the right to self protection. I'm looking forward to continuing that work as the Senator from District 3."

"Dennis Baxley's superlative record, on issues that are important to gun owners and sportsmen, stands alone in this race," said Marion Hammer, Past President of the NRA and Executive Director of Unified Sportsmen of Florida. "No other candidate in this race has the background of dedicated legislative service for the cause of freedom, the second amendment, and the protection of constitutional rights. We could have no better champion on firearms and freedom issues in District 3 than Dennis Baxley."

The Unified Sportsmen of Florida also endorsed Baxley.

Baxley adds these endorsements to his impressive roll out of endorsements, which includes Sen. Steve Wise and Sen. Carey Baker, 19 local elected officials in Marion County, and the Republican Committeeman and Committeewoman in Baker County.
